But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and itsusefulness,but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feel adifferent way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When Iread English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is differentfrom reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident frommy words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as ourChinese......
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around theworld one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people fromdifferent contries. I can see many places of GREat interests. I dream that I cango to London,because it is the birth place of English.
I also want to use my good English to introduce our GREat places to theEnglish spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.
I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hardstudy, one day I can speak English very well.
If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So Ibelieve as I love English everyday , it will love me too.

When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city. We counld hear the birdssinging and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air wasvery fresh! How nice it was!But that only was a dream of mine!How I wish that itwould be e true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment. Everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.
Taking care of our environment is very important. Wherever you live,you cando something around your neighbourhood.
Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?Have you ever drawnpictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever cutdown trees?If your answers are "No",it means that you have already helpedprotect our environment.
It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. You might askyourself,"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?Have Iever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?Have I ever planted anytrees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes",it meansthat you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

ladies and gentlemen, teachers, my fellow students:
i am very excited and feel it's a great honor to stand here to deliver myspeech. what i'm going to talk about is “choice in my life”
i can still remember the first time i failed in a singing contest. iimmediately ran to my grandma, shedding lots of tears of course! i cried loudlyand could hardly utter a word!
then, badly needed forting words and touch came from grandma. i graduallyregained my sense of pride and a sensible control of my feelings. yet, headdown, i said: “grandma, i have no choice, and i have to give up, right?” “lookat me, my dear!”she said gently. i looked up, straight into her eyes. what i sawwas a shining, sweet, and loving stream from the bottom of her heart! then,there came the gentle voice of hers: “no, no, no…” her head shaking, while eyessmiling. “why don't you give more attention to the details?” she continued.
no other words were needed any more! i started practicing and rehearsingonce again, paying special attention to those little things that i used toignore. as a consequence, my overall performance was quickly elevated to a newhigh! without much trouble, in another singing contest held months later, iwon!
what do i learn from this experience? never give up lightly! life's full ofopportunities, and lots of them! to realize your dreams and fulfill yourpotential, you must learn to work hard and smart and steer your lifeboat wisely!as a li ling's sportswear mercial goes “everything is possible!” but not withoutsweat, devotion, and tears sometimes!
life is a long journey, during which we are surely going to face manychallenges, experience lots of failures, and equally, many opportunities arewaving to us, while sweet rewards are waiting for us! to transform theseopportunities into fruitful results, or turn those challenges and failures intovaluable assets, we must learn to seize the good ones and not to retreat lightlyin front of difficulties.

Good afternoon! Recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. The college students arethe beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and supportourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The collegestudents I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We helpeach other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeplyfor each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Lastweek, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order tomake a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point inour lives. We all face a fundamental choice： cynicism or faith, each willprofoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe inall my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a littlebit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challengeand take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume newresponsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to makeour world a better place. I believe in our future.
